Let Wildlife Move. Let Nature Thrive.
Utah’s landscapes are rapidly changing—with more roads, development, and human activity fragmenting the lands wildlife rely on to survive.
At UWF, we’re working to ensure that animals can move safely across our state—for migration, food, water, and survival.
Our Wildlife Connectivity Program brings together communities, scientists, landowners, and agencies to restore these vital paths and protect the future of Utah’s wildlife.
Here’s how we’re making a difference—and how you can help:
Building a Culture of Collaboration
We convene the Utah Wildlife Connectivity Working Group, bringing together experts and stakeholders from across the state to improve habitat linkages and plan long-term conservation strategies.

Mapping Critical Corridors
Using GPS data, research, and citizen science, we contribute to Utah’s ability to identify essential migration routes and pinpoint barriers like highways or fences that threaten wildlife movement.

Creating Safer Crossings
In partnership with transportation and wildlife agencies, we support implementing solutions like overpasses, underpasses, fencing, and wildlife signage to reduce collisions and reconnect fragmented habitats.

Working with Landowners
We collaborate with private and agricultural landowners to promote conservation tools like zoning improvements, Transfer of Development Rights, and wildlife-friendly easements.

Raising Public Awareness
Through outreach to hunters, anglers, photographers, and hikers, we’re building broad support for wildlife connectivity—and showing how everyone has a role to play.

You Can Help Wildlife Cross Safely
From adopting a corridor to sponsoring a safe-passage project, your support can have a direct impact.
