Advocating for the Wild Heart of Utah

Why This Matters
Utah’s iconic wildlife—from elk in the high country to native trout in alpine streams to birds living at mountain tops and local backyards—faces growing threats from habitat loss, climate change, and policy decisions made without public awareness or input. Our natural heritage depends on a new generation of informed, vocal advocates. That’s where we come in.
What We Do
Our Advocacy and Education Program is more than just outreach—it's a call to action. We provide Utahns with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to stand up for wildlife conservation, sustainable land use, and clean water.
Key Initiatives Include:
-
Wildlife Advocacy Workshops & Events
From hunters and anglers to birders and hikers, we bring together outdoor enthusiasts to learn how to influence conservation policy at the local, state, and national levels. These sessions cover everything from legislative engagement to using social media as a tool for advocacy. -
Online Advocacy Toolkits
We equip the public with ready-to-use templates for writing lawmakers, organizing community actions, and sharing key messages about wildlife and water conservation. -
Community Ambassador Program
We train passionate local leaders to serve as wildlife and water ambassadors—mobilizing their neighborhoods, schools, and networks to speak out for Utah’s wild resources. -
Youth Enrichment Program
Tomorrow’s stewards are in classrooms today. We create curriculum-aligned resources and presentations that spark curiosity and action in young minds.

The Power of Partnership
Our work is strengthened through collaborations with hunting, angling, and conservation groups, educators, policy experts, counties, municipalities, and recreation communities. Together, we amplify impact, share knowledge, and ensure a diverse, united voice for Utah’s wild places.
